tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-75049831976058948372011-04-21T16:46:44.505-07:00banana pancakeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08603535989018433468noreply@blogger.comBlogger11100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7504983197605894837.post-71410512226925643142009-04-27T06:55:00.000-07:002009-04-27T07:13:23.745-07:00here i am with the sniffles, feeling sorry for myself. i'm missing you. we've been joined at the hip for quite some time now so moving back home is just something i need to get used to again. it is only for 4 months after all. as I lie on my bed, the unfamiliar scent of freshly laundered sheets invading my senses, my thoughts. there are so many things i ought to be doing but we all know that i'm cursed with a ridiculously short attention span.<br /><br />as I run my fingers on these sheets, i smile. these sheets which have been with me for many many years now. child-like words printed all over it. it is a present from my mom. a birthday present, mind you. my mom is a practical one - she never buys frivolous presents.<br /><br />i focus my attention to imagining you were here with me. how you would wriggle your arm under me, so that i'll be close to you. how you would kiss my forehead then my lips goodnight. and that sleepy mumble of "goodnight baby" before you drift off to sleep.<br /><br />today is an important day. i forgot to let you know why- but i will, someday. Just remember this, today is day 977.
